| Caroline
has built a career about working with people to get the best out of themselves
and their environment. She uses her 25+ years of business acumen and
lateral thinking to solve problems with tenacity and creativity and is
involved in the people development business having honed her skills by
working with management development specialists and business support
organisations. Working as an advisor and tutor on business and work:life
balance issues. She has worked with many projects that have ensured that
businesses did what they need to do to sustain and move their business
forwards, and is a respected startup advisor, having worked with all
major business support organizations in the South East when contracted
as regional development manager for PRIME.
Caroline is a self-starter.
She undertook a degree in 3D design at Camberwell, and won the Courtauld’s
Prize for best textile student in her post graduate year. Craft subjects
make little money, so she went into highclass fashion, and 3 yrs later
was the youngest fashion retail manager on Knightsbridge . A desire
for a more traditional business life, led her into working in the Law,
Hotels, PR and Marketing, where her problem solving, research, and
people skills were put to good use. She then became involved in setting
up and growing a number of businesses, such as a 5* hotel, a security
management consultancy and a kitchen company, before she became a freelace
business consultant, working with various organizations that themselves
often linked into business support and development. She has run EU
and South East England Development Agency led projects, and has extensive
knowledge of the South East including grants,loans and equity issues.
She ran the first conference on Business Mentoring in the SE in 2005
and found, trained and piloted business mentors in W Sussex whilst
ensuring effective business support for the 50+ throughout a network
of partners across the region. Her networking and business development
abilities are extensive.
In 2001 she obtained
an MSc at Surrey University in Environmental Psychology, Which increased
her interest in effective use of resources, communication of messages
and business sustainability issues. These are well used in her position
as District Councillor which she has held since 2002.
Her wealth of experience
from a varied portfolio of occupations have culminated in her current
lifestyle, where offers Interim Management at mid management level,
within areas of her expertise, creating a quality product in relation
to anything connected with problem solving, research, business support
and development and project delivery.
In her spare time
she is a respected artist, creating colourful expressive canvases.
